A leap of faith

“By leaving behind your old self &
taking a leap of faith into the unknown,
You find out what you are truly capable of becoming.

My mind's set.

It's official!

I'm going to step out in faith and go for solo adventures by doing whatever I can to shape up my sense of independence. Not only that, I'll also be chasing my dreams in another country, where people don't recognize me. A whole new year, 2015 will be the year of independence and dreams!

There is this goal I've been wanting to achieve this year, but things haven't been working that well for me. Not that I'm complaining or anything. It's just not the right time yet, I supposed.

No use sulking around and waiting for it to happen, right? I've decided, and it's official! I'll take a leap of faith, out of my comfort zone. Thomas Jefferson once said, “If you want something you've never had, you must be willing to do something you've never done before.” I wholeheartedly agree with him and take a risk to do what makes me a better person.

Admittedly, I had doubts on whether going to another country and pursuing this ambition in this period of time is the right thing to do. Like the usual me, I kept analyzing and questioning my decisions (I don't want to make wrong choices - as mentioned in my previous post). Then, I read so many quotes and verses that changed my way of thinking. I thought, "If now is not the right time, then when?" and "Hey, if my dream is there, I might as well just go there, right?".

I remembered Sarah Allen's saying that, "Happiness is a risk, and if you’re not a little scared, then you’re not doing it right."

Let's do this, I'm ready!

p.s If you're in the same situation as I am, I would really like to share these with you

“I have come to accept the feeling of not knowing where I am going. And I have trained myself to love it. Because it is only when we are suspended in mid-air with no landing in sight, that we force our wings to unravel and alas begin our flight. And as we fly, we still may not know where we are going to. But the miracle is in the unfolding of the wings. You may not know where you're going, but you know that so long as you spread your wings, the winds will carry you.”

“Don’t get stuck. Move, travel, take a class, take a risk. There is a season for wildness and a season for settledness, and this is neither. This season is about becoming. Don’t lose yourself at happy hour, but don’t lose yourself on the corporate ladder either. Stop every once in a while and go out to coffee or climb in bed with your journal. Now is your time. Walk closely with people you love. Don’t get stuck in the past, and don’t try to fast-forward yourself into a future you haven’t yet earned. Give today all the love and intensity and courage you can, and keep travelling honestly along life’s path.”
